1301 vs m4
Apr 6, 2019 · Softest shooting 12 gauge made. Yep, it's on my want list. Well, I've not shot the 1301, but the versa max shoots like a kitten. It's got an awesome gas system and some weight behind it. V3 is essentially the same gas system in a lighter gun. I had a V3 cut down to 18.5" and that thing is friggin quick. Semi-automatic guns only require that the shooter pulls the trigge r between shots. A pump-action requires a bit more manipulation than that. That pump requires more work than a semi-auto. Semi-autos are often easier to handle under stress due to their design. All the shooter needs to do is pull the trigger.Either are going to preform really well for the average joe shooter. I personally just want the M4 for the history of it compared to the 1301. I find mil rifles and weapons in general cool so having an M4 as a home defense shotgun on top of it being in military service is really the only reason I personally want the M4 over the 1301.

I’ve shot both pretty extensively, and I’d give the M4 about a 10-15% reduction in recoil that I’d attribute, mostly, to the extra weight (about 1.5 pounds) and the ARGO dual piston system as opposed the the Beretta Blink single piston system.The 1301 feels more fun to shoot at in my hands, just not as tight and solid. Think the girl you play with vs the girl you marry. My wife and daughter in law both prefer the M4 over the 1301. They feel the m4 kicks a lot less( not much difference for me) and they think the 1301 is a lot louder.🤷♂️
