It would lead to more costly repairs down the road due to it coating the interior of your coolant system. Check fluid level after a while and top up and tighten cap. THEN start the motor and idle it for a bit (monitoring the temp and watching for signs of boiling. Shut down and let cool off, then take cap back off and recheck/top up coolant. This is a last ditch response, otherwise I feel it is motor work time.
