The original idea came from a fellow named Smitty who lives in Illinois.I did my sled but added 2x8 and a hinged lid to use as a table inside my hub. Only drawback is I can't haul it by hand have to use a machine to haul it. I might do something similar with my smaller sled or smitty.

Have a few questions about the Smitty sled. There's 2 2X4 braces running sideways across the skis. Beneath the notched out portion appears to be washer and nut?? Not sure what it is and what's its function. May be a dumb question but does the sled you're hauling around; what keeps it from falling off this thing. The for any helpful info.
