getting her early lets you build her better but the trade off is you can't start her romance properly until after doing one of the act 3 quests if you get her early. And there are some events you get by camping at certain areas in act 3 but if you do their quests before triggering her romance you miss out on themAt your main camp/drezen re-add her to your party. Looked for guides because thought I'd misremembered and the vids show the the cave is accessible. if you did that puzzle, you can have her join you when you first meet her in the prison (she'll be level 8). if you didn't, she'll come back later with a quest at which point you can recruit her (she'll be level 10). in short, let her out of the prison and leave her be for now! To unlock her early you do indeed need to be Azata.
