The Ultima is a big upgrade from the A300 Outlander and it is at the same price point. For the money, the Ultima is going to be hard to beat as far as quality. Ease of Breakdown Very simple to break down for a gas gun. There are a few tricky parts but after breaking it down a few times, it becomes easier.If you want a 20 gauge A300 the Mossberg SA-20 is about as close as you can get today. The Mossberg and Weatherby both use a copy of an earlier, simpler Beretta gas system that was also used on Browning autos made by Beretta. The gas system is simple, robust and reliable, and the Mossberg's are more strongly built.With the Outlander with all spacers out it is about a 13.25in length of pull, my son is shooting with 13.75in length of pull with a single spacer and my wife will need the same. I would like to have the kickoff system, but not if that means the shortest length of pull for the ultima is 14.5in.

The way I understand it the a300 is a repackaged version of their older top end tech. It's fantastic and incredibly reliable. The a400 is the newer system. It's faster and softer cycling, especially when you pair it with the kick off stock. I will add the Ultimaโs black barrel + gray aluminum receiver doesnโt match up well with the wooden Outlander furniture.
