Huge, 8-10 civs, 8-24 city states (depending on whether I want a fight for city states, with the number of city states equal to civs, or not, max allowed city states) Max civ count on huge maps with 20 CS and epic game speed. Always makes for an interesting game.Macedonia, China, and Russia also have arguably favorable starts. Japan has the hardest start of any of the civs on the default TSL map, from my experience. Very limited space and production options.
