Contingency space analysis

The SPACE (Strategic Position and Action Evaluation) analysis was developed by strategy academics Alan Rowe, Richard Mason, Karl Dickel, Richard Mann, and Robert Mockler. The particular focus of this framework is strategy formation as it relates to the competitive position of an organization. The SPACE analysis is a technique used in strategic management and planning.

An analysis in which only one or two 5-10 min sessions are conducted for each condition; a convincing demonstration of function may be achieved by either alternating a condition that produces problem behavior with one that does not or conducting a contingency reversal; may reveal a functional relation in fewer sessions than a full FA.Applicable direct observation methods include collection of A-B-C data, scatterplot, frequency, duration, percentage of interval, or momentary time sample data under various conditions that may include application of functional analysis, contingency space analysis (Martens et al., 2008; Hanley et al., 2014; Iwata et al., 2000; Martens et al ...The simplest approach to the analysis of contingency data would be non-dimensional. For example, the THAID algorithm could find the extent to which individuals' yes, no and don't know judgments about the presence or absence of attributes discriminate one object from another (Morgan and Messenger, 73). ... Space weather forecasts are generally made for events with an arbitrary size threshold imposed on an event statistical size distribution which is likely described by a power law. ... Event forecasts are usually evaluated by skill scores using a contingency table that matches the forecasted events against observed events independently of the ...Interview-Informed Synthesized Contingency Analysis - A variation of functional analysis that is designed to increase efficiency by using an ______. - In the test condition, multiple contingencies are implemented simultaneously when the problem behavior is demonstrated. One promising approach involves the analysis of conditional probabilities from sequential recordings of behavior and events that follow its occurrence. In this paper we review several strategies for identifying contingent relations from conditional probabilities, and propose an alternative strategy known as a contingency space analysis (CSA).A pre-mortem is a positive framing and important first step to creating a contingency plan. In today’s digital age, online databases have revolutionized the way we conduct research and analysis. Gone are the days of spending hours in libraries, flipping through endless pages of books and journals.(Reprinted from Analysis and Intervention in Developmental Disabilities, 2, 3–20, 1982) [PMC free article] [Google Scholar] Martens B.K, DiGennaro F.D, Reed D.D, Szczech F.M, Rosenthal B.D. Contingency space analysis: An alternative method for identifying contingent relations from observational data. Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. In a typical behavioral contingency statement, the consequence of an act, if it occurs, can be another behavioral event. The presence of the contingency as a whole can be the cause of a different behavioral consequence. Example: Consider the contingency “ If Joe hits me, I will hit back. ” The behavioral consequence of “ Joe hits ” is “ ….

From the contingency-table analysis, contingency space is three-dimensional. Therefore, dual space is six-dimensional. But, notice the substantial space discrepancy in component 3 (\(\theta _{3}=80\) degrees). Thus, symmetric scaling of component 3 would be a very poor approximation to the configuration in dual space.
