I'm a player who has had content sharing from a couple different DMs that I'm in campaigns with, but in the last month it's stopped working. I have both players and DMs that are sharing sourcebooks like Mordenkainen's and Theros with me, and none of it is accessible for me on the site.

The DM only needs to enable content-sharing in the campaign. If you have a license for Foundry, you can import all of your owned content from D&D Beyond as compendiums using Mr. Primate's importer. You'll have to sub on his patreon for a month to get full access to the importer. From there, you can just archive your Foundry data however you want. When DND beyond started to get big, I already owned 4 or 5 books, so for me it wasn't worth it to buy them again so I could have digital copies tied to my dnd beyond account. A friend of mine has a lot of digital content and, because of the content sharing, we use it in his campaign. My overall impression is that it is cool and useful.
