It inserts at a 90-degree angle rather than a 30-degree angle, so there is less trauma to the skin. My understanding is that when your sugar is low the body draws it into the blood from the tissue that the the dexcom is in therfore making the dexcom reading lower.My son had his Dexcom inserted yesterday and at first he said it felt fine.
