Quick and dirty method of choosing which Materia to meld: 1) Crit if you can. 2) Det. otherwise. 3) Direct Hit if neither of the above are possible. rbstr • 8 yr. ago. Det increases healing done for everything like it increases damage on damage classes. Spell speed decreases recast time and increases healing done on HOTs. Piety is just more mana. So det makes you more mana-efficient. But Spell speed does not.
