The only piece of gear that's BiS for those two fights that's specific is the latest Resistance Weapon with certain stat allocations based on your job. Clearing any of the 3 Ultimate raids doesn't require BiS at all but it can help.

For more context, I recommend looking up older DRG. While it was a bit annoying having to re-apply it just to jump/nastrond/etc, I miss its old "dragon stance".
