So I wonder if it's better to scrap the valuable but broken ship (it flies and hyperdrive works, shields are up, and it has firepower working), or keep it and repair it. Finding the right system. Depends on the ship. For high slot count ships, it can be well worth it. For low tier (low slot count) ships, it's probably not. As an example, a B16+4 explorer would not be worth it. This worked for me! I claimed the new ship but didn't have the supplies to get it off the planet. I placed a custom marker at the damaged ship but when I went back to my freighter to get repair supplies the marker glitched out and stopped pointing me back to the ship.
