Left joycon not connecting

If you haven't damaged your Switch in any way, you should be able to go to Nintendo's support page and complete a repair request. You can also give their support line a call, 1-855-877-9099, to deal with the issue. Click Start. Go to Settings > Device > Bluetooth & other devices. Click Add Bluetooth or other devices to continue. Press the sync button on the Joy-Con until its lights are flashing. The sync button is located on the connector rail between the SL and SR buttons. Click Bluetooth on the Add a device interface.Anyway, since then the left joycon does not get recognized as connected to the console. It does show it is charging once it is connected but it doesn't fully connect. It shows only the right one is attached. I have to use bluetooth to connect the left one. I tried another left joycon and still have the issue so it's not the joycon but the console.
