Left joycon not connecting

Before I start this is a problem with the Joy-Cons, not the switch body. If you attatch the added Joy-Con straps on backwards, for example, if a friend or somebody puts the strap so the + or - of the strap is on the bottom of the joy con, it wears out a little plastic lock from it going on backwards.
