We have 6/7 (one end seat does mot have a arm) in a "L". 3 seats across plus the corner are deep. 2 seats are standard because coming off a deep corner the 2 seats would not line up right. Hard to explain. Make a scale model and you will see. My husband is 6'4" so deep seating was definitely a must for us. I would also like to add, that the deep sides are needed to make the couch "work" but the deep pillows are more for aesthetics than needed.
