(No expansions) Title. I got the base game a while ago. Started playing it recently and it's not a priority for me at the moment to buy any add-ons.

Civ's and victory conditions are all based on personal preference. I enjoy faith and diplomatic games, (and an unhealthy obsession with coastal cities) while I detest culture games that involve the use of theater square districts (so I use relics and other means to go about it, it ain't easy for me, but I enjoy it).Inca, Mali, Kupe, Ottomans, Hungary, Eleanor and Canada all have these wildly unique playstyles. It's a beautiful, rare confluence of unique design that's fun as hell to play. Even Dido and Sweden, the more "standard" GS civs, have crazy and really interesting things going on that make playing as them very unique.

My least favourite is definitely Religious. So incredibly boring. It is like a poor man's less interesting domination victory. To the point that if I get a religious civ when I let it give me a random civ for the game I usually end up trying again.
