If I interrupt it by pressing F2, going into the BIOS, and doing either Save&Reset or Discard&Reset, the laptop will reboot and boot the OS properly. Most of the time, it doesn't come out of it well with a failure to restart properly. Running diagnostics on that doesn't show anything, so just doing another restart is the only option.
