Photovoice project
This is a qualitative project, which leverages data from focus groups as well as photovoice data. Photovoice is a research process in which participants take photos of their everyday experiences, to record aspects of their life and their community, and then come together with others to discuss these experiences (Wang & Burris, 1997).The following narrative takes as its point of departure the photovoice project that produced Fig. 9.1.The story centers around the perspectives of Harriet, a research team member whose cultural and ethnic background mirrors that of the research participants, and of Julie, one of the research team leads.
