Sounds like you over powerd your trans. If we had your TCM codes it would help pinpoint what may be the cause of your U0100 code. Your TCM is located on the fan shroud, drivers side, it's the one with a bunch of spikes on it.

Had this just happen to me. Cold started the truck after work sitting for about 8 hours at 10f it remote started and ran normally. Got in and had cel p0700. Did a little googling saw a post in google about the idash at high wake level setting as a cause. Set my idash to medium and p0700 cleared itself after restart.P0700 is "the ecm noticed the tcm indicates something is wrong".
