Vehicle Diagnostic. April 5, 2019 ·. Diagnosed another VY commodore today, engine cranks but won't start. This is the most common problem I get called out to resolve with Commodores... Factory key from Holden loses the metal pin connecting the key head to the metal ring around the ignition which is needed to disarm the immobiliser.Now for the help, what i find in my manual is: your etc system could be bad, bad coil or kill switch, n timing incorrect or sheared flywheel key, a stuck valve, or an exhaust air leak. All this under (backfiring). Hope this helps. Check for noticeable damages. If the spark plug electrodes are covered in dirt or grime, clean them thoroughly or consider replacing the spark plug if necessary. Also, make sure your spark plug is correctly gapped as an improper gap can lead to ignition problems.

OK so I was called by my mechanic who had my bike in under a warranty repair, it was running fine before as far as starting and never had an issue. Well to be totally fair, using a pressure washer is OK, as long as you keep the pressure down to about 500 to 750 psi - over 800 psi and getting within 3 inches of certain things will cause problems.When we tried to start it and pressed on the gas it acts like it wants to start but it won’t. Prior to changing the injectors we got a new battery, fuel pump, throttle body, throttle position sensor, coil, spark plugs, crank position sensor, solenoid, temp sensor, cooling fan circuit break. 2 by 6 by 8 ft Carburation may not necessarily be your problem, but if it won't start on ether, I have good results with gas in a bottle and a piece of 1/16" fuel line in the bottle cap to pour a very small amount of gas into the carb or intake. To test for a battery drain, disconnect the negative battery cable and use a test light between the negative battery terminal and the negative battery post. If the light is on you have a drain. If no light is on turn the key on and you should see the light come on. You need a charged battery to do this test. justin hartwig RACE TECH : That is your fuel pump relay. Switch the 2 relays out and see if your getting power now. Could also be a ground issue. Check your battery voltage and connections.
