It didn't come with heat shields and that unit the cat converter was built in with the headers. Some people said it could cause the engine to heat up or cause fires and overgrown greenery or cause engine issues. Other side would be fine. I ended up just getting exhaust heat shield wrap on Amazon way cheaper than AutoZone and ended up wrapping it.Rattles abound on my 2011 ob. When I ported the headers on the T/tb I wrapped them in heat tape and put the outer shields back over them ( chucked out the inner clips). Reason was to keep the heat in the pipes and out of the engine bay.
