To take your Skar Audio amplifier out of "protection mode" you will have to complete disconnect all wiring that is going into the unit. This includes the remote wire, RCA's, speaker wire and both the ground and power wire. The unit will have to sit, completely disconnected, for several hours.Assuming you got the proper voltage to start with, unplug the RCAs and disconnect the wires going to the sub from the amp and power it on (power on the head unit as normal). If it goes into protect, check the voltage at the amp again. I have a Skar Audio RP-2000.1D 2000 watt mono block amp. I have it run to 2 Skar Audio EVL-15 D2 15-inch dual 2-ohm 1250 watt subwoofers. The only way to wire them to this amp is at 2 ohm or 0.5 ohm and the amp it rated at 2000 watts at 1 ohm. At 2 ohm im only getting about 1400 watts so about 700 watts each.There are just 4 terminals to make it easier to wire for some people.
