It is a shame that the sword looks so cool, but you need to put so much points into INT and FAITH. I was thinking about playing as a Paladin, using some miracles like Wrath of the Gods, a paladin set armor and the GOA ... The crystal greatsword deserves a higher ranking b/c it is the most powerful early-game sword at WL0. It does huge damage at WL0 with low stats and can be buffed. It's main limitation is its unusually slow attack speed. The crystal straight sword is fast, buffable and also has an unusually high attack rating for a WL0.
