This movie seems to be designed as a vehicle for Fess Parker, who brings along a ready-made persona previously established in his Davy Crockett TV series.This movie really made me suspect that if Allen had been allowed to stay on as the KU coach, the Jayhawks would have won the national title with Chamberlain.
