Nov 18, 2014 · My 2011 Chrysler Town and Country has been having issues for years and no one could figure out what was going on until recently. The TIPM is bad and needs to be replaced. I just recently found this is a common issue with this particular vehicle. My car would not start and I was even left stranded on a 100 degree day with three kids in the van. The TIPM is in control of both relays. The low speed relay works when engine temp comes up enough. The TIPM will not however trigger high speed that I have seen and I know the AC pressure is spiking with no airflow over the condenser as I was able to read the low pressure side. I can also bypass the TIPM by grounding the control wire to the relay.Chrysler has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2011 model year Dodge Durango and Jeep ® Grand Cherokee vehicles.
