The minute I moved it away and put it on a slight angle from the basking spot, the condition of the skin on my Red-eared slider improved. Dry skin on the top of her (Paffie the RES) head was not a noticable issue until any abbrasion occurs.I thought this basking loft was constructed beautifully and made very well l! However, it is only compatible with 40 gallon tanks. The length of the loft is able to be adjusted but not the width and I was unaware of this going in! However if you have a 40 gallon tank I think your turtle would love this! I received this complimentary of Influenster!
