I'm thinking of to use spinners as my cache drive because they are cheaper. Of course I want speed is this possible with spinners. Unraid is built around their own raid solution, if you don't want to use it, id probably get anouther os. While possible, using something like windows server or open media vault or freenas is a better solution, and more supported, and will work better. Also btrfs has its own range of issues to know about too. 249.

But AFAIK if you update to unRAID 6.9 that write issue was fixed. Thanks! I solved it now anyways. During the beta's of 6.9 the BTRFS write issue was already fixed and the stable 6.9 is also released.
